How to get to the venue

From the city

Take one of the tram lines S1 (direction "Herrenberg"), S2 or S3 (both direction "Flughafen") from one of the stations "Hauptbahnhof", "Stadtmitte", or "Feuersee" and get off at the station "Universität".

From the airport

The tram station at Stuttgart Airport is on level 1 (signposted S). A ticket must be purchased before entering the platform. The orange ticket machines are located directly in front of the escalator. For the trip to the university (Campus Vaihingen) a ticket for 2 zones is required. Enter the code "002" on the keypad of the ticket vending machine and pay for the ticket by cash or card. On the platform, take the tram line S2 or S3 (direction "Hauptbahnhof") and get off at the station "Universität".

Conference Building

The conference building is located at the main campus of University of Stuttgart, in Stuttgart Vaihingen. The closest S-Bahn station is called Universität which is approximatly 5 minutes from the building. The Campus Vaihingen of the University of Stuttgart is approx. 8 km from Stuttgart city center or 12 min by S-Bahn. Moreover, there is a direct S-Bahn connection from Stuttgart central station (S-Bahn S1/S2/S3, approx. 15 min) and Stuttgart airport (S-Bahn S2/S3, approx. 20 min) to Campus Vaihingen. Two Clusters of Excellence, for which the university has applied for a grant as part of the excellence strategy to strengthen top-level research in Germany, have been awarded funding for seven years. The successful clusters are Data-integrated simulation sciences and Integrative Computational Design and Construction for Architecture.
